Yes, I tumbled off the wagon again and again. First there was what I like to call, the week of the 4th of July and then there was the week of my birthday. Also during the week of my birthday, our office was working on a huge proposal and to keep people in the building and working, they brought in lunch every day. Now, I know I could have eaten my salad and been a good girl but they brought in good lunches for my birthday and it would have been rude to say no. LOL! Also after The Hubby lost his job a few years ago, the frugal side of me screams, “FREE LUNCH!!”
The damage wasn’t too terrible. I kept doing the Wii step each morning but my afternoon walking was pitiful. So now I have dragged my getting-fatter and getting-lazier rear back on the wagon. I even have broken fingernails to prove it!
I am walking a 5K for Big Brothers/Big Sisters on August 1. I have no illusions that I will be able to run it but I’m planning on running at least a mile of it.
I’m trying to talk Sweetie Pie into registering for soccer in the fall. First, he did enjoy it this spring. Second, he needs the exercise and socialization and third, selfishly, I enjoy sitting and talking with the moms.
So now I’m back. Say good bye to free lunches and no walking and hello to good eating and much exercising!

Oh sorry about that, I'm seeing now that your Sweetie Pie is your son. So disregard my last comment! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do on the Wii as your workout?
And there's no shame to do overs. We all have those times. You just have to get back at it!
I do the free step on the Wii. I'm up to around 7,500 steps in an hour which is around 3.8 miles. I want to get to 8,000 steps by the middle of next month.
